Do Former Communist Countries Resist the Corona Virus Better?

On 7 July 2020 the Guarini Institute for Public Affairs at John Cabot University, in collaboration with The Ohio State University and the Hungarian Europe Society, held a online panel discussion on the topic "Pandemic in Central and Eastern Europe". Countries represented were Belarus (Tatiana Shchyttsova), Czech Republic (Adela Muchova), Hungary (István Hegedűs), Poland (Agnieszka Graff), Romania (Caterina Preda), and Russia (Angela Brintlinger).

On 3 January 2020 members of the Hungarian Europe Society discussed the report entitled "Tyranny and Hope" as well as the political situation in Hungary at their traditional annual meeting.
