Erik Uszkiewicz participated at an international workshop entitled "NGO Survival Playbook in a Shrinking Civic Space: Navigating Crisis Scenarios and Sharing Defense Strategies" held by the Slovak civil society organisation VIA IURIS in Bratislava on 5-6 May 2026. Attendees discussed the role and opportunities of civil society organizations in the Central and Eastern European region, which is characterised by increasingly authoritarian patterns of governance. A special attention was given to the recent regime-change in Hungary.
