LIBSEEN held an online meeting on "Liberal responses to the challenges of Covid-19" gathering in discussion liberal parties in the SEE region and their partners on 20 April 2020. Brief keynotes were given by Roman Jakič, chairman of LIBSEEN, Hans van Baalen, president of the ALDE Party, Ilhan Kyuchyuk, MEP and Vesna Pusić, former chairwoman of LIBSEEN and MP. In his contribution István Hegedűs argued that the Hungarian Enabling Act has to be condemned by all European institutions: "The European Commission should react again politically, analysing the problem in its political context and having in mind the systemic threat Orbán's laws and actions have created."
