On 27 June 2011 István Hegedűs made a presentation entitled Der Weg des FIDESZ von der oppositionellen Partei der Jungdemokraten zur populistischen Regierungspartei. Ein ehemaliger FIDESZ-Abgeordneter im ungarischen Parlament analysiert die Entwicklung at the invitiation of the "Deutsch-Ungarische Gesellschaft" in Berlin in the building of the "Gedenkbibliothek zu Ehren der Opfer des Kommunismus/Stalinismus". The following day he talked about the same subject to students at the summer university of the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt an der Oder.
